To my Pennsylvania Sisters and Brothers:
On the passing of Department President Lucille Coe Ryan on Friday, January 24, 2014
My deepest sympathy to Fred, Peggy, her family and all of those who knew this wonderful person. To all who knew her, she was the essence of gracefulness, love, and caring.
Though I only knew her for a few years, she touched me and my family deeply. I will miss her at encampment, she used to ask me to sit beside her and guide her thru her duties, she always wanted to learn more and was anxious that she was doing it "right". And she always did a beautiful job. I believe my first year at PA was also hers and Peggy's.
Auxiliary Sisters, you have suffered a terrible loss, but I have no doubt that you will continue to do your good work in your Department President's memory. I believe she was very happy to have held her position and was able to participate in her duties almost to the end. Although I will miss her, as will all of you, I am glad the Lord has released her from her pain and suffering.
May the Lord Bless her family and friends, welcome her to His Heaven, and hold her tightly in His arms.
In Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty
